noodle bar, athens

with one comment

It was Greek food day #5 by the time we got to Athens and while we enjoyed the grilled-oregano-lemon-olive-oil delights we were ready for a little break. Just a few doors down from the Central Hotel Athens was Noodle Bar. That’s right. Us mostly Asian folks were desperate enough to try Asian food in Greece.

We ordered Vietnamese noodle salad, garlic soy chicken, and chicken fried rice. These picture make the food look really good. It was really not good. On the plus side, the ingredients looked pretty fresh – cilantro, bell peppers, shrimp, and peanuts on cellophane noodles. Sadly, it had no taste. We threw some of the chili ginger sauce from the chicken on there. What this thing really needed was some chili flakes and FISH SAUCE.

The chicken was pretty good but nothing to rave about. The fried rice was just eh so I’ll spare you from the picture. The point of this post – when in Greece… stick to the Greek food.
