cookie berry apple cobbler

I have a couple of sweets recipes that I’ve wanted to try but had to put those on the back burner to accommodate a hectic Friday schedule of spa-ing, shopping, mani/pedi-ing, and dinner partying. Lucky for me JenLui had just the thing. Photos courtesy of the other Joann again. 🙂

  • 1 roll of sugar cookie cookie dough
  • 1 can of apple pie filling
  • 2 bags of frozen berries
  • 1/3 cup of sugar*
  • 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
  • ice cream

*I used the 1/3 cup of sugar but I thought it was a bit too sweet. I would probably move down to 1/4 cup of sugar as long as you are using sweetened pie filling.

  1. Dump the apple pie filling, berries, sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix.
  2. Pour into a 8 x 8 x 2 baking pan.
  3. Use your fingers to crumble the cookie dough over the berry mixture.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour (the recipe says 45 minutes, but it took longer).
  5. Serve hot with ice cream.
  6. Food coma.
